The goal is to increase students’ overall independence with functional life s
Maple and Main is run in connection with the RISE Program (Reaching Independence through Supported Employment). The RISE Programs mission is to provide students ages 18-22 with the skills and experiences they need to be successful members of the local community. The goal is to increase students’ overall independence with functional life skills that will allow them success as an adult. Students in the RISE Program receive education surrounding employment, functional academics, community access and safety, independent living and future planning. The RISE program looks to provide students with meaningful employment opportunities in their local community and through the Maple and Main retail store. The RISE students run the Maple & Main retail store doing everything from making products, restocking, taking inventory, operating the cash register and providing customer service. This opportunity provides students the chance to learn work skills that can be transferred into a wide variety of future employment opportunities.
